The crazy thing was that my sisters, both of them pregnant and due around Christmas, were making their way to my dads house for a quick visit. They had planned to get there Thursday night, take care of somethings and then leave Friday or Saturday. Well, Sharla started having some contractions in the car on the way there!
As some of you know, my sisters and I feel pretty strongly about birthing our babies. We don't use medication and try to have as little intervention as possible. Sharla and Shelly both planned to use a midwife to deliver this round of children and even to deliver the babies in their homes. So, you can imagine Sharla's disdain when she's now close to 4 hours away from home and KY doesn't make it easy to find a midwife!
BUT God is good! After making several calls my dad found a hospital that does have a midwife that practices there. So... Sharla was able to have the baby with a midwife and no interventions. She will however have to stay in the hospital which was not what she wanted! BUT we'll take it. Everyone is healthy and doing great.
The verdict is still out on the name. A big debate is taking place. Cast your vote in the comments! Emily Rose OR Katherine Rose
Here is a picture of Baby Martinez #4....

Now for the second new beginning....
I've spotted another little white tooth peaking through Aiden's bottom gums! He has woken up in the middle of the night the last two nights and we couldn't quite figure out why. Well today I spotted it! Right there - in the middle of his big smile - a third tooth on the bottom. Making for a total of 7!
No pictures of the little guy but I'm trying!
What a great way to start my Friday!! God is truly a mighty God!

Congratulations on becoming an aunt (don't know if it's the first time for you, but each time is special)! I'm glad that your niece arrived safe and sound.
Nanette, this was baby number 8 in my family - without Aiden being counted! You're right though - each is special!!
