Brian - Still working at LifeWay and has been staying busy with a new fiscal year just starting for them. Brian has always loved swimming and got up each morning and swam on his own training for is annual triathlon. However, recently he joined an adult masters swim team and they practice together and attend meets as well. We are excited to get to watch him compete more often and actual see him swim some! At the triathlons, we can't see him in the river, so this will provide us a chance to see him in a pool and WIN hopefully! First meet coming up in a few weeks so we'll have to report back.
Shanna - Trying to maintain our house, homeschool and various activities as the kids get older has been exciting and challenging! If that wasn't enough already, God threw a curve ball my way and I fell down a few steps while carrying Stella into a friends basement playroom. I tore several ligaments in my foot and have been wearing an aircast for a few weeks now. Unable to drive, my mom has been gracious to come help us several days a week. We've all gotten spoiled with her here that I might just have to milk this cast a little longer! Ha!
Aiden - He LOVES his homeschool tutorial - Classical Conversations. We go each Tuesday and he's really learning a ton of things. It's a program geared heavily on memorization and he's definitely soaking it up well. He has proven to be quite a geography nerd and can identify and locate all 50 states as well as a few countries! He is also really picking up on his reading and is surprising us every day with the things he says and reads! Our lives aren't the same anymore now that he knows when we skip words in books, he can read words in commercials, and he even looks over my shoulder at facebook posts! UH OH! :) He'll be 5 in January! He's growing up so fast!
Stella - What a pistol! She keeps us on our toes that's for sure. She's very tender hearted and sensitive but also stubborn and out spoken! Not sure where she might have picked those last traits up! ha!! She's very much her mother! :) She is learning her letters and is really surprising us at how much she picks up from Aiden's school. Stella wants everything pink and has declared herself a princess! She's sleep in her dress up clothes if we'd let her! She'll be 3 in early December and is as independent as ever! She loves the music classes we attend and has proven she's just as much a sports nut as the rest of us! She's a trooper and cheers loudly at all the Vandy games we attend!
Owen - I'm smitten with this smiley boy! He has six teeth and I get lost in his grin each time he shows it. He can crawl and pull up on things so quickly that I'm sure he'll be walking by Christmas. Owen's a tiny tyke though! At both his 6 month and most recent 9 month appt he was in the 3% for weight! Yes, that's 3% - I didn't leave out a zero! He is 9 months and only 15lbs! His age appropriate pants just fall right off of him! He very content though and sleeps well so we aren't worried about our tiny boy! Owen goes with the flow of our crazy lives just fine!
