Family Vacation

Sad to say it, but we are home from a week long trip to Destin, Florida! I could have stayed for another month - that's how much I love the beach BUT we had to come home and get back to life! We took the trip with my parents, two sisters and their whole families. So for those that don't know us - that means 8 adults and 8 kids (with two buns in the oven). 

It was a blast and despite the hurricane winds / waves we had from Ike I believe we all had a great time. Aiden did so great in the ocean and the pool. He really does love the water so that makes us proud. 

The REALLY cool thing about the trip was the upgrade the management company surprised us with. The Thursday before we left I got a call saying they wanted to upgrade us from a 5 bdr/3 bath to a 6 bdr/ 7.5 bath home that was right on the beach. Our original house was going to be a block or so from the water. SO... needless to say, we couldn't pass it up and took them up on the offer.

(Interesting to note: on Wednesday when we started getting the wind and waves; the waves came all the way up the sand and covered our bottom three steps taking away any beach we had. It was an amazing site!)
