December is a BLUR

** Let me start by saying I apologize for the long nature of this post. There's so much to share I'm just combining it into one big story!!**

We've been busy here at the Bauman house. It's nearly a blur all that we've done! My last post was about our first Christmas celebration with the Hanson family in Kentucky. Since then we've had two more Christmas celebrations - one in Detroit with Brian's dad and stepmom and then one in Cleveland, OH with Brian's mom and sister.

On top of both of those, we've added another family member to the Hanson clan!!! My oldest sister Shelly had her baby on Christmas Eve! A precious little boy - Brody Matthew McAlister. More on him later!! If you're keeping up with us - you know that my middle sister, Sharla, also had a baby this month - Katherine Rose Martinez - so this has been a wonderful December for our family.

Then to top the holiday off, on New Years Eve, we braved the cold and went to the Music City Bowl here in Nashville to watch our Vanderbilt Commodores take on Boston College. It was around 30 degrees and our seats were in the very top level! Talk about COOOOOLLLDDD! Aiden did super though and we are continually blessed to be able to take him places with us. Worth the freezing was the awesome WIN Vandy brought home for us! First win in a bowl game since 1955 I believe.

Here are several pictures from all our festivities....

Christmas in Detroit -

Grandpa Doug, Aiden and Grandma Germaine

The five of us in the snow!

Aiden had just finished playing with the newspaper and dashed towards us.

This was the view out Doug's living room window. You can see the icicles coming down on the ledge and the snow covered trees. It was so beautiful.

Christmas in Cleveland -

Aiden had a ball dancing with Grandma at the park

Grandma Leah, Mommy, Aiden, Aunt Rebecca and Daddy. This is what you get when you put us all together and have Brian stretch out his arm to get the picture.

Aiden had quality time with Grandma Leah.

The largest gingerbread cookie I'd ever seen.

Aunt Rebecca quickly became Aiden's friend! They had a blast together.
These were Christmas ornaments she had dangling from her ears.

Brody Matthew McAlister - my sisters baby and now the 10th grandchild. I wish I could retell the birth story here but it's already too long of a post! Maybe someday I'll get a chance too. Let's just say Mike, the father of Brody, had to deliver the baby!

Hey Jeanette! Glad you found me! I have known your sister for several years. We've been in small groups together and both attended Grace for a long time. We keep up with each other through the blogs and I've heard all about you and your precious baby from her! Hope you're enjoying our church so far!
