Diapers and Fabrics

So, I've got two things to post about this time! I'll take them one at a time!

FIRST - Diapers -

As you all know if you've been following this blog for long, that Aiden loves to read his books. It's so cute to watch him flip the pages and really look at the pictures. Friday was a lazy day for us at the house and both Aiden and I stayed in our PJ's most of the day (I know, I know, my friend Cassie is probably pointing her finger at me too). BUT we'll let it slide this time. Just after getting a clean diaper on Aiden he noticed a book in sight. He flipped over quickly and took off. It was just precious so I snapped a few photos.

Then he found his car and he LOVES to walk around with it. I've sure got a silly boy on my hands!

SECOND - Fabric

My mother in law loves to quilt and sew! I've gotten several things from her before that she's picked out and made. From quilts to pillowcases to diaper bags - she does a good job! Well, THIS TIME I get to pick out the fabric and I'm getting hooked! Brian jokes that I can't talk to his mom anymore because our house and my time is being taken over with fabrics!

I can't help it, I'm just excited about all the fun things she's going to make me! Purses, totes, aprons, and the big one - CURTAINS!

Every girl loves her accessories so I am having a lot of fun picking out coordinates and coming up with ideas. Here are a few of my finds.

Two sets of coordinating fabrics. I'm thinking bag for the pink and apron for the green.

Two more sets. I think my curtains will be the tan and we'll put red tabs at the top. Then I'm thinking tote bag for the blue and brown.

I'll have to report back on the finished products but I'm super excited! I'm still trying to convince her to make me some clothes but that's turning out to be a much harder sell!

Fun times ahead!

You need to chat with Kristi Smith! She's a self=proclaimed fabricaholic, too!

Well if you are reading books with Aiden all day, then I'll let the p.j.s pass. I LOVE fabrics too. I used to have a house full of it but finally decluttered when I quit sewing for a business. I love what you've picked out. How about using the red as a stripe band down the side of the edge of the curtain too? Be sure and show me the finished results!

Hmmmmm....could you and Aiden have been in your PJ's all day watching March Madness!?! Good for you! ;0 Love all the fabrics. I wish I could sew like my mom does. I can cut out a pattern but that's about as far as it goes!
