Today, the Nashville Bauman's household went from three to four, or in other words, Shanna and I went from double coverage to man-to-man defense. We are looking forward to the challenge though.
How did it happen last night you ask? Here are some of the details.
Around 6pm last night (Wednesday, December 9), Shanna started noticing some contractions that were pretty regular. Around 9pm, Shanna didn't notice them, so we decided to go to bed around 10:30pm.

Shanna was awaken around 12:30am by some more contractions, and around 1:30 she decided to wake me up and said "I think we need to do something." My reaction was "Yeah, the first thing I need to do is wake up". We called our sitter to come over at stay with Aiden at 2am, were in the car around 2:30am, arrived at the hospital at 3am, and Stella was in Shanna's arms at 3:55am.
She weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces, and was 21 and a quarter inches long. That's almost two pounds and two inches longer than Aiden was.
Thank you to Shanna's sisters who sacrificed sleep to drive down from Kentucky to be at the delivery with us. Glad you were able to make it in time.

Shanna did great, and is feeling great. Stella is eating and sleeping well. Speaking of sleeping, Shanna and I got maybe 20-30 minutes of a nap this afternoon, so we'll be ready to sleep tonight, especially after just a couple hours last night.

Aiden came to visit us for dinner. He didn't sit long, but we got a few great photos of him and Stella. I love the way he's looking at her in the family photo.
Also, he liked to "bump" his head against her forehead. He would do it and just laugh and giggle, thinking it was the neatest thing. We got some good laughs out of it.
