Oh the mystery of the kidney

So, Monday was my surgery to remove the three large kidney stones. They had success and were able to remove them all so that's a really good thing. Now we are still here just being observed and making sure my kidney is draining properly. Pray for pee!  hehe!

Hopefully we can be discharged today and go home stone and tube free. God is so good to protect from any infection, side effects, major bleeding, terrible pain, etc.

They did say my stones were "hard". Aren't they all was my question but apparently no they aren't all like mine. So, they'll send them off for analysis and try to find out what caused them to get so big and so hard. Might be something in my diet I'll have to eliminate or might mean taking medication for the rest of my life to keep them from coming back. We'll have to wait and see on that front.

Here's a photo Brian got just before I headed back for the surgery. We HAD to have a memory right? Since I can't bring the stones home with me... this is all we got to remember this event!
