We're Home

We made it home from Indy on Thursday evening and were wiped out. It was a great and fun trip with a few hiccups (I'll explain later) but we had a great time.

On Saturday and Sunday we drove up to Chicago to visit the Bertucci's and Rebecca. We walked around the Hyde Park Street Festival and saw some amazing handmade crafts. Brian and I were introduced to the Wii and so we played multiple games of bowling, baseball, golf, mario cart and more!! It was SOO fun!

Monday - Thursday were spent in Indianapolis for the Southern Baptist Convention. Our hotel was so nice and downtown Indy was a neat city to walk around. We had the chance to see lots of family as they live in Indy and Ft. Wayne and were able to come visit us.

Aiden had SEVERAL - count them three - huge blow outs - through his diaper, through his clothes and then to his car seat. Luckily Aunt Julie lives close so we went to her house after the first one (and worst one) to wash the seat. We learned really quickly to put a towel down so the others weren't nearly as bad.

On Tuesday Brian suffered a severe migraine headache and couldn't work his shifts. He slept from Noon - 6pm and threw up several times. Me, being the sensitive wife that I am, took Aiden into the hallway to feed him and let him play so that Brian could have lights out and quiet. Well, guess what??? The fire alarm went off!!! So, now Aiden is crying, well maybe I should say screaming in fear, and Brian is just trying to sleep! Luckily we didn't have to evacuate and there was just a small fire in the laundry room of the hotel.

Wednesday proved to be much better of a day and so we were able to get out and walk several blocks around the city. We found the downtown farmers market, Monument Circle and the Capital Bldg among the sites.

Here are a few pictures from our hotel room and walking trip....
