The Art of Blogging

So this morning I was talking to my precious sister-in-law Leigh Anne and she pointed out that I haven't been updating the blog as much lately. She checks it every day and wants more than one post a week. I started thinking after we hung up about what a blog is really supposed to be. When we started this blog I said that I didn't want this blog to be me sitting there every day writing what I ate for lunch, how many poops Aiden's had, or even talking about the latest happenings on my favorite TV shows.  That's good and all but then I realized today that our blog also doesn't have to just be events or parties we attend. It can be a good nice mix. 

So, as not to drag this out any longer, I thought I'd give an update on us... a plain 'ol update on some of the small and not so small things we've been up too this past couple weeks. 

1.  I've STOPPED nursing! Completely! I'd gone down to two feedings a day and then for a few days just nursed at night to put Aiden to bed, well now I've stopped that too and we're on our third full day of not nursing. It's somewhat emotional but had to happen at some point I guess. 

2.  Aiden still hasn't taken his first official step but is getting around QUICK! I think this kid could out crawl me! He moves so fast. He also loves to crawl up our stairs and if I may say so myself might just become the stair stepper of the year. He does it with so much ease. 

3. I had written a post a little while back about Aiden learning to drink from a sippy cup and how he got himself drenched. Well... I'm happy to report, he's a BIG BOY now and does just fine with the cup. Chugs it I should say. 

4.  Brian has been given some more responsibilities at work for which we are grateful. He's always done Kids Marketing for LifeWay but has now been given the additional responsibility to market the Christian School area. I'm so proud that LifeWay is recognizing his talents and thinks good of him to give him some more work. Can anyone say - JOB SECURITY? Praise the Lord! 

5. I'm in the mood to remodel or redecorate. Don't ask me why and NO I'm not PREGNANT again and nesting. I guess I just watch way too much HGTV. So, with our tax refund (thank you government) Brian is letting me do some very small things around the house. I've gotten a new shower curtain, bath rugs, towels, etc for our guest bathroom. I'm also going to be replacing the faucets in our house. No more $10 old school faucets in our bathroom. My next project is to tackle our bedroom. I want to put up some decor and possibly get a new bedding ensemble. We'll see how that goes! 

6. I'll let this be my last one and leave you with some pictures of Aiden that are random. Since this post is random things I thought it only fitting to post some random pictures we get of him during the day.
